(Provided by CalPac, Monday, April 25, 2016)
Most teachers go above and beyond for their students. They are constantly finding ways to make their students successful in school and ultimately life. Teachers should be honored everyday, but the week dedicated to teacher appreciation is May 2- 7. If you have been encouraged, given extra help, or felt like a teacher has gone out of their way for you then find a way to show them you are grateful for them. Here are a couple of ways you can show your teacher you appreciate them: Not another writing assignmentThis one isn't graded. Write out a letter explaining why are you are grateful for your teacher. This will speak volumes to them because they know it takes an effort to write when it is not a required assignment and that you took your time to write down your thoughts. You may be surprise by how little teachers get appreciation letters. For the InstagramersIf your teacher has Instagram or Facebook think about posting an appreciation post about them. They will be very honored that you wanted to share with all your family and friends the impact they have had on their life. You can also get creative with they graphic you use to thank them. Don't forget to use the #ThankATeacher to encourage others to thank their teachers. Let's make a movieGet your fellow classmates together and make a video to express your gratitude towards your teachers or faculty. Sometimes video say more than a letter could. This is also something a teacher can look back whenever they need encouragement. Gift cardThis will be more expensive than the other options, but is guaranteed to make your teacher feel appreciated. Who doesn't love gift cards? If you want to go the extra mile give your teacher a eGift card. Be SuccessfulAs mentioned before your teacher has put a lot of time and effort into making you successful. By taking the tools and support they have given you you're proving they have done a good job, So, be the best you possible and thank them for the influence they have had in your life. Teachers don't go the extra mile expecting a thank you, but let's make sure they get a "thank you" this week. It can be as simple or elaborate as you want. |
