The Many Benefits of Field Trips
The benefits of field trips include not only engaging students in a new way, make education fun, and allow for opportunities to create new friends, but extend to higher levels of learning and cultural acceptance.
According to Professor Jay P. Green’s study at the University of Arkansas “students learn quite a lot” from field trips. In particular, enriching field trips contribute to the development of students into civilized young men and women who possess more knowledge about art, have stronger critical-thinking skills, exhibit increased historical empathy, display higher levels of tolerance, and have a greater taste for consuming art and culture.”

CalPac, an online virtual middle and high school offers many exciting opportunities for students to develop these fantastic traits. From field trips to local Los Angeles and surrounding areas museums such as LACMA, the Getty Villa, and the Aquarium of the Pacific, students also have the opportunity to attend a beach clean up day.
