Flexibility of Online Schooling in California

Are you looking for a homeschooling option? Are you looking for more flexibility in your child’s schooling and scheduling? Do you want to be more involved in your child’s education but also want a subject matter teacher available when you need help?

CalPac offers students the ability to complete their schoolwork from the comfort of their own home or any location with wi-fi. CalPac offers flexibility to students and allows them to create a daily or weekly routine that works best for their individual needs.

Students are expected to attend one live session per course each week where the teacher presents the course material or offers an opportunity to perform an enrichment activity. Students can find their daily work on their assignment calendar. On average, students spend an hour a day per course. The rest of the scheduling is up to the students and parents.

Although students are working independently, they are not alone. A California credentialed teacher is available to assist students in each content area. Teachers tutor students using an online whiteboard and are able to use a microphone to speak to the students. The application that CalPac uses is called Blackboard Collaborate. Teachers are also available by phone, email, and instant messenger.

The great part of attending CalPac is that students can schedule their school work around their scheduling needs to allow them to volunteering at their local animal shelter, go to doctor appointments, or attend dance class.
