Meet Christine Feher
As an online high school counselor, I have had the opportunity to work with many kinds of students. It’s my goal to know my students, and for my students to know me. Here’s a little bit about me—please feel free to contact me to tell me more about you!
I grew up in Southern California, in the city of Garden Grove—in the center of Orange County. I went to a public high school and was the first person in my family to go to a four year university right after high school. Since no one in my family had ever done that, they weren’t particularly helpful during my college selection process or when I was filling out applications. My school counselor wasn’t particularly helpful either, and I found myself pretty confused about the whole process. I managed to get through it though, and I ended up at Chapman University, a small private university in Orange, CA.
After majoring in Sociology, I knew that I wanted to work in education. I got my Master’s degree in School Counseling and began my career at an online high school. After working at different online schools, I can definitely say that CALPAC offers the best online program anywhere in CA. Our teachers and faculty care so much about our students and about their success. Students are not a number and they really get the individualized education every child deserves.
When I’m not working with CALPAC students, I really enjoy traveling and outdoor activities. I like to surf and ski. I also like to do Crossfit and go hiking for exercise. I like the flexibility that working onlineallows me to have to pursue my hobbies. Many CALPAC students enjoy the same flexibility to pursue their interests in sports or other activities. How do you benefit from CALPAC’s flexible schedule?
