Online Middle School Program Provided By CalPac

CALPAC is a free online charter school that proudly offers a wonderful online middle school program. For our present and future virtual middle school students, we have them work directly with fully CA credentialed teachers with numerous years of online experience. They also remain under the guidance of a highly qualified counselor and receive tremendous amount of support in academic and transition planning to high school.
At CALPAC, we realize that Middle School is an exciting yet challenging time for students. During this time, we want to help students become more responsible for their learning and teach them the necessary skills to work more independently while remaining under the guidance of both teachers and counselors.
We have highly qualified subject area teachers that will present weekly Live Sessions (virtual instructions) that supplement and review their lessons for each week. Through these virtual sessions, the students will be able to interact with the teachers and peers in their course subject.
Just like walking into a lecture but virtually, the students will log in to their teacher’s blackboard elluminate room (online classroom) and participate in a fun, interactive, and useful lessons that will help them review and recall information learned for the week. By providing this more specific type of instruction, we hope to help students connect their learning in the classroom to its practical application in their academic career and life.
We also make sure that CALPAC is a safe online environment where we are sensitive in the manner of providing comfort, understanding, and approval in various situations. We make sure that the interactions made among teachers and peers are under appropriate guidelines and that the students are made sure to feel secure in a virtual school setting.
If parents are curious on how a virtual setting or classrooms work, we welcome them to participate as well by perhaps viewing a live session together with a student or talk with the teacher about specificity of how students can participate virtually with ease.
CALPAC stands out as one of the most unique online schools in CA due to its unique identity in promoting the needs and interests of students. We provide tutoring hours, clubs, online AVID, and homeroom assignment. We make sure each student is served with various outlets of resources that help them to succeed in the online environment. We deeply care about their success and promote high levels of educational activities.
Overall, as middle school students enter CALPAC, they will be held to high standards but the teachers, counselors, and courses will help them to be encouraged and ready in taking the lead in their studies. So by the time they are transitioning into their high school path, they will be fully equipped with all the necessary skills to become an independent learner.
