Things Just Got Real! – Gaming on a Whole New Level

People sometimes wonder what the video game club is and what we do. As a teacher at a school that hosts 6th-12th grade students I know we should be careful what is shown to our younger students. I want them to know that we are trying our best to create an environment that is fun but appropriate.

We play games that will work for students and everyone can play. Some games are very expensive and students generally do not have all the different consoles that exist. Do you still have an Atari? Our goal is to be able to involve all students at CalPac.

I try and use games that exist on the computer and that are compatible with MAC. In addition I use a great deal Steam games. Did you know that we have a steam group to keep you up to date on all our progress?

Now that we have more people, we tend to play Minecraft, League of Legends andTeam Fortress 2. I am open to other games and want students to join us as often as possible.

We meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays.

We want you to join us for the fun and to meet other people that enjoy video games just as much as you.

If you have some suggestions for the video game club I would like to hear them please so feel free to send me an email and let me know what you think.John.morris@aascalifornia.org
